Digital compliance specialist SmartSearch has launched a brand new, market-leading service to help firms run comprehensive verification checks on individuals from across the world.

The new ‘International Individual Check’ is the most comprehensive identification and verification solution on the market, enabling clients to perform checks globally on individuals from over 40 countries.

SmartSearch has partnered with LSEG, a global provider of high-quality data; LSEG’s extensive international data coverage from over 200 data sources, provides an industry-leading solution.

The solution then uses local knowledge to perform in-depth analysis of the information gathered during the initial check to verify the individual’s name, address, date of birth and national ID against best-in-class reference data.

As with all SmartSearch checks, the service also includes screening for PEPs and Sanctions and ongoing monitoring with alerts about any changes, ensuring customers remain compliant and audit-ready.

To use the new service, customers simply enter the individual’s name and address and any country-specific fields. This will produce an overall ‘pass or refer’ result, and a further breakdown of the match status i.e. full match, partial match or no match.

All results will appear as a search in the Subject record and on the PDF download, keeping everything in one, centralised place making it easy for clients to retrieve information.
