A Customer Selfie Liveness Video is a form of liveness detection and is the process by which live images of a person are used to ensure the photo identification provided is genuine. Liveness detection is increasingly being used in AML processes to catch out money launderers and fraudsters trying to spoof verification systems by providing fake photo documentation. Liveness works by determining whether the source of a biometric sample is a real live human being or a fake representation.
